Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Columbus GA is seeking an Operations Mechanic to support disassembly, assembly and test activities in the DAT workflow. This onsite role involves assembling and disassembling jet engine modules with approved techniques to meet production schedules. You will work with a team to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across all stages.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year in aviation mechanics or a comparable technical program. U.S.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in aviation mechanic role or appropriate technical training (ASE certification or military mechanic equivalent).
• Basic understanding of DAT – Disassembly, Assembly, Test.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/disassemble jet engines and components following work instructions.
• Perform flight-quality jet engine assembly/disassembly operations using hand tools and fixtures.
• Conduct set-up and operation of test facilities, following Pratt & Whitney EHS and Quality policies.
• Maintain safety, quality and delivery objectives during production.
