Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks a Mechanic at our Columbus Engine Center. You will play a crucial role in overhauling, repairing, and assembling advanced jet engines for commercial and military aircraft.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in a mechanic role. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in a mechanic role or appropriate technical training.
• Hands-on experience in disassembly, inspection, assembly, or turbine engine test operations.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine maintenance.
• Utilize common hand tools and a variety of tooling to assemble/disassemble jet engines.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards during assembly/disassembly.
• Monitor processes to meet Safety, Quality, and Delivery objectives.

Skills

Mechanical expertise

Aviation engine overhaul experience

Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with SAP

Education

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
