Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Columbus, GA seeks an operations mechanic to support the Columbus Engine Center, DAT, and related tasks. Work entails jet engine assembly/disassembly and test operations in line with technical data and safety standards.

The role is onsite, with responsibilities to meet quality, safety, and delivery targets, and to participate in tool use, inspection and testing activities. FAA safety requirements apply.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1+ years’ experience in aviation mechanic role or appropriate technical training.
• Basic understanding of DAT – Disassembly, Assembly, Test.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member to maintain turbine engines, modules, or components per instructions and data.
• Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble/disassemble and test jet engines.
• Ensure processes meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives through inspections.
• Support readiness for FAA-regulated operations and site safety policies.
