Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center is hiring a Mechanic to overhaul, repair, and assemble advanced jet engines for commercial and military aircraft. You will work in a hands-on, team-oriented environment ensuring peak performance, safety, and reliability of engines.

The role is on the 1st shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 am–3:30 pm, onsite in Columbus, GA, with emphasis on quality and safety compliance within FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Typically 3+ years of mechanical experience in manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, aviation, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Work under general supervision on turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance per instructions and data.
• Assemble/disassemble and test a jet engine using hand tools and fixtures.
• Ensure all assembly/disassembly steps meet quality and safety standards.
• Monitor processes to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
