Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks a Mechanic for our Columbus Engine Center, playing a vital role in the overhaul and assembly of jet engines for commercial and military applications. Candidates will use mechanical expertise in a team-oriented environment to ensure engine performance and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience in aviation engine overhaul and repair is preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble and test jet engines following published work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Perform self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes.

Skills

Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience

Hands-on experience in mechanical disassembly and assembly

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies

Education
