Job summary

Prattwhitney is seeking a Mechanic at our Columbus Engine Center in Midland, Texas. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the overhaul, repair, and assembly of advanced jet engines, playing a critical role in ensuring their peak performance and safety.

This position offers a weekend shift (Friday – Sunday) and requires adherence to safety standards and FAA regulations, including drug testing. Preferred qualifications include aviation engine experience and A&P certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience preferred.
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team responsible for turbine engine maintenance.
• Utilize common hand tools and tooling to assemble/disassemble a jet engine.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety objectives.

Skills

Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience

Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly, or Turbine Engine Test Operations

Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma

Using Microsoft Office applications

Using SAP

Education

High School diploma or G.E.D.
