Job summary

OCC seeks an accomplished engineering leader to manage a diversely skilled team building foundational components for the Ovation Risk Platform. You will drive architectural decisions, guide design, and influence development across multiple systems.

You will oversee performance reviews and compensation decisions, lead cross-functional projects, and embed AI/ML capabilities with strong PostgreSQL design. The role blends technical leadership with strategic product ownership in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required with 3 years of senior software engineering/management experience.
• Candidates must have leadership and performance review experience.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale streaming architectures with Kafka/Flink.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of engineers and conduct structured performance reviews and compensation decisions.
• Own cross-functional projects across multiple systems and architectures.
• Analyze, document, and refine platform architectures; plan target state architectures.
• Design and operate fault-tolerant streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka and Flink.
• Serve as technical product owner, guiding business, architecture, and design requirements; integrate AI/ML.
• Apply domain knowledge of options exchange, trade lifecycle, and clearing workflows.
• Collaborate with tech leads and business partners; support remote work flexibility.
