Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) seeks a senior engineering leader to guide a team delivering core components for the Renaissance Risk Platform. You will architect and implement low-latency data pipelines, risk engines, and event-driven microservices in Java/Spring Boot on an enterprise-scale cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field with 7 years of experience as an application developer or software engineer.
• Experience designing low-latency, high-throughput real-time data pipelines using Kafka and Flink.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and real-time microservices within a financial domain.

Responsibilities

• Direct a diversely skilled team of software engineers building foundational components for OCC’s Renaissance Risk Platform.
• Design and deliver low-latency, fault-tolerant real-time data pipelines and risk processing engines.
• Lead cloud migration efforts with AWS, CI/CD using Jenkins, Harness, and Docker with zero-downtime delivery.
• Establish production observability using Splunk and AppDynamics for monitoring and incident resolution.
• Act as technical product owner to translate business requirements into architectural designs.
