Job summary

Grand Hyatt Vail is seeking a Makoto line cook to prepare food to order according to our recipes, procedures and quality standards, with speed in mind. The starting rate of pay for this position is $20.00/hour, commensurate with experience.

Essential functions include stocking, maintaining a clean work area, following safety and sanitation standards, and operating kitchen equipment as needed. Lifts and carries up to 25 lbs, with shifts long and fast-paced, in a guest-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Restaurant line cook experience preferred.
• Experience with Japanese kitchen settings desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains stock, cleans and organizes work area.
• Prepares food according to procedures and standards within time guidelines.
• Safely operates equipment as required.
• Follows proper food handling, storage and rotation procedures.
