Job summary

Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii is looking for dedicated Line Cooks to join our culinary team. Both part-time and full-time positions are available with morning and evening shifts. We offer competitive pay ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, plus tips, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will prepare high-quality Japanese cuisine according to our recipes and standards, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure food safety regulations are followed. Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant's recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations throughout the shift.
• Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared following food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to manage food inventory and minimize waste.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure ingredient quality and freshness.
• Support the kitchen team during peak hours by efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
