Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced IVA Spacesuit Project Manager to lead development, integration, testing, certification, and delivery of spacesuit systems for human-rated spacecraft. You will manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering domains and ensure schedule, budget, and human-rating compliance.

Ideal candidates have extensive aerospace program leadership, strong systems engineering background, and proven ability to drive IPTs and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems).
• 5–10 years of related experience in aerospace development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, baselines and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead IVA spacesuit development from concept to certification and production.
• Oversee scope, cost, schedule, technical performance and risk across workstreams.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including systems, mechanical, electrical, software, safety and quality.
• Coordinate integration between IVA suits and spacecraft systems and interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with human-rating standards and customer requirements.
• Lead IPTs and coordinate with suppliers, customers and government agencies.
• Develop execution plans, IMS, budgets and resource forecasts.
• Manage contracts, SOWs, deliverables and reporting.
• Lead risk management and issue resolution; support design reviews.
• Present status to leadership; drive continuous improvement.
