Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IV&V Project Manager to lead independent oversight and assessment activities for complex technology programs. You will combine project management with IV&V responsibilities to evaluate governance, controls, risk, schedule, and quality, delivering objective recommendations and executive-level reports.

The role serves as an engagement lead and senior analyst, coordinating teams, governance reviews, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• 2+ years performing IV&V, QA/QC, PMO governance or comparable independent assessment activities.
• Experience evaluating project governance, management practices, risks, issues, schedules, delivery performance, and readiness.
• Experience developing assessment findings, executive briefings, reports, and client-facing deliverables.
• Strong analytical, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Remote position with up to 30% travel; willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior level contributor or project manager depending on project.
• Manage resource allocation within the unit and coordinate with senior management on utilization goals.
• Be the central point of contact for all project-related issues and interface with clients.
• Manage client expectations and provide availability information for resources.
• Facilitate design discussions to ensure appropriate solutions are implemented.
• Ensure compliance with standards and incorporate costs in quarterly forecasts.
• Lead IV&V engagements supporting technology implementation, modernization, and system integration.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute assessment activities including reviews, interviews, workshops, and operations reviews.
• Assess governance, risk management, schedule performance, organizational readiness, vendor performance, and implementation progress.
• Analyze artifacts and metrics to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop findings, recommendations, and executive deliverables for clients.
• Communicate with stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and leadership with objective insights.
• Support continuous improvement, assessment methodologies, and QA standards across IV&V.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to business development and practice growth where possible.
