Job summary

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Department of Statistics and Data Science seeks a Computer Technician II to support IT services, websites and departmental activities. The appointee will work under the IT Manager and alongside technical colleagues, providing end-user support and assisting with the department's websites, events and multimedia tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining computer laboratories and AV equipment, IT asset inventories, and content updates.

Qualifications

Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia, Digital Media, or related disciplines.
Sound knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and computer hardware.
Hands-on experience in IT support, computer installation and troubleshooting.
Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Providing end-user support and maintaining departmental computer laboratories and audiovisual equipment.
Conducting IT procurement and administration of IT asset inventories.
Developing, maintaining and updating departmental websites and online content.
Providing technical support for departmental events, including photography, video production and publicity materials.
Performing other relevant duties as assigned by the Unit Head or Supervisor.
