Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an IT Technician in the San Francisco area to install and maintain network file servers and operating systems, ensure secure backups, and provide user support. The role requires strong networking knowledge, server maintenance skills, and a willingness to travel to off-site locations.

The candidate will install PCs and peripherals, manage end-user accounts, and assist with network cabling and imaging deployments under supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in computer science, data processing or related field.
• Three years of networking experience desired.
• Ability to install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers.
• Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers and peripheral equipment.
• Ability to communicate information to staff and the public clearly and concisely; teamwork oriented.
• Willingness to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Assists with installation, configuration, maintenance, modification and operation of Local Area Networks.
• Provide technical support and assistance to network users, such as password resets and creating email accounts.
• Install PCs, software and peripheral equipment.
• Assist with PC, network configuration and cabling.
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights.
• Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other networking equipment.
• Assists with installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software and peripheral devices.
• Management of computer labs, installing any software needed for each quarter and/or special events.
• Travel to off-site location may be required.
