Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Engineering Technician II in Newport, RI. The role supports the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and Media Center infrastructure, including copper and fiber optic cabling, with responsibilities spanning inter-building fiber and system configurations. Clearance to SECRET is required.

The position entails documenting maintenance records and performing both remedial and preventive tasks to ensure reliable network operations.

Qualifications

• Mid-level infrastructure installation, testing, and maintenance skills.
• Experience with copper and fiber optic cabling plant is preferred.
• Certifications required to support classified/unclassified networks per SECNAV guidance.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and maintain copper and fiber optic cabling plant, including inter-building fiber.
• Perform remedial and preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure components.
• Install or modify network, Media Center, and telephone configurations.
• Update and maintain maintenance records and documentation.
