Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Systems Support Specialist II to provide hands-on technical support for desktops, phones, printers, and peripherals at our Oshkosh facility. You will diagnose, repair and upgrade hardware and software while coordinating with IT on complex issues.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years of troubleshooting experience, an Associate in CS or equivalent, and a readiness to advance with related certifications. On-site work with occasional overnights may occur.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, phones and network issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
MCSE/MCTS/CNA/Avaya/ITIL certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide hands on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops, phones, printers, and peripherals in office and manufacturing environment.
Support higher level specialists with server hardware, OS, network infrastructure and telephony by troubleshooting incidents via phone or virtual communication.
Document issues, root cause analysis and troubleshooting steps; escalate as needed.
Assist in implementing business systems and manufacturing initiatives with configurations and end-user support.
Perform system upgrades and migrations to new applications and data files.
