Job summary

Generac in Wisconsin is seeking a Systems Support Specialist II to deliver hands-on desktop, phone, and peripheral support in a busy manufacturing and office environment.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, assist with server hardware and network infrastructure, and document issues to support rapid resolution. On-site role with potential for remote site work and collaboration with IT teams.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• Minimum 2 years troubleshooting PCs, printers, phones and network issues.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in CS and IT certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops, phones, printers, bar code scanners and peripherals.
• Support higher level specialists with server hardware, OS, network infrastructure and telephony via troubleshooting with customers.
• Document issues, perform triage, and escalate to reduce downtime.
• Assist in implementing business systems and manufacturing initiatives with end-user support.
• Perform system upgrades and migrations; follow IT operational standards for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Participate in Tier 1 queue and maintain asset inventory and IT policy compliance.
