Job summary

Santa Clara Development Corporation seeks a Systems Administrator (On-site) to maintain, upgrade and support our Windows server infrastructure, VMware environments, and network services.

You will diagnose issues, implement security measures, document procedures, and collaborate with the IT team to keep systems reliable and compliant. The role requires rotating after-hours support and weekend coverage. Experience with AD, DHCP/DNS, SQL Server, and firewall basics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in computer science or MIS with related work experience.
• Network+ and Security+ certifications required at time of or during employment; other certs are a plus.
• Vendor certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prioritizing IT projects and ensure services stay up-to-date.
• Maintain and monitor servers, networks, and security controls.
• Delegate tasks to Junior Systems Administrator and provide input for evaluations.
• Document procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring of operations.
• Install and configure servers, storage, and related hardware per standards.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support and weekend rotation.
