Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Systems Manager to provide tier 1 and 2 IT computing support for the College of Engineering. You will resolve issues with Windows and Apple devices, deploy images, manage accounts, and train customers while ensuring SLAs and policies are followed.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of technical support experience, strong communication, and familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 2–4 years’ experience in supporting Windows/Mac clients and peripherals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft or Google productivity suites.
• Knowledge of help desk processes and procedures.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
• Experience with enterprise services like Active Directory and SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Experience with patch management and desktop imaging tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 and 2 IT computing support for faculty, staff, students and labs.
• Research and resolve issues with computing systems, printers, peripherals, and OS deployments.
• Deploy images and software applications; create user accounts.
• Assist in audits, inventory, and asset management; ensure policy compliance.
• Document solutions and provide device orientation to customers.
