Job summary

Atlas Technica is seeking an Intern Trainee in New York, NY to join a structured 90‑day program that builds foundational IT and MSP skills. You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and documenting requests within our ticketing system.

Successful trainees can progress toward an Intern role with potential advancement to Junior Systems Engineer based on performance, coaching, and business needs.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of IT support experience or equivalent foundational IT knowledge.
• Strong customer service and clear communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and troubleshooting approaches.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in New York, NY and travel to client locations.
• Ability to perform physical requirements to support onsite IT operations, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured technical training and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Provide basic IT support and technical assistance to Atlas Technica clients and users.
• Develop troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve common IT issues.
• Manage and document support requests using the organization’s ticketing system.
• Provide remote and onsite support under guidance of experienced team members.
• Learn and apply Atlas Technica’s standards, procedures, and change-control requirements.
• Familiarize with Microsoft technologies, networking fundamentals, and systems administration.
• Demonstrate growth through feedback, coaching, and professional follow-through.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Client Technology Managers to support clients.
