Job summary

Eastern Florida State College’s Cocoa Campus is seeking a Technical Support Specialist I to install, modify and repair computer hardware and software, and to provide technical assistance to users. The role works closely with the IT staff to support campus information technology services.

This full-time position offers a $37,584 annual salary with fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year’s experience in similar technical support position preferred.
• Industry certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software.
• Provides technical assistance to users.
• Works closely with IT staff to support campus systems.

Education
