Job summary
Brevard County Information Technology Department in Viera, FL seeks an experienced IT Service Desk Technician to join the permanent, full-time staff. You will provide user support on organization-supported applications and platforms, resolve desktop issues, and assist with hardware and software installations.
The role requires two years of college coursework in CS/IS and two years of relevant experience, plus a Florida driver's license. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in the fundamental operation of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment, and network connectivity, including related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk customer service and support.
- Special REQUIREMENTS: Florida driver's license and ability to perform emergency duties as directed during disasters.
Responsibilities
- Provides experienced technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software.
- Serves on the Information Technology Department's Service Desk team providing user support and customer service on organization-supported applications and platforms.
- Installs and troubleshoots personal computer hardware, peripherals, and software; advises users on corrective actions.
