West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Computer Support Technician in Uniontown, PA to install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC hardware and software for end users. You will verify operating systems and office applications, provide on-site training, and resolve hardware, software, and operator issues.

This role requires an associate degree or two years of related experience, and may require certifications within four months.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or related field or two years’ PC hardware/software support experience.
• Certification training may be required within four months of employment.
• Internal employees must meet competencies for promotion within IT.

Responsabilités

• Workstation: Troubleshoots, repairs, and inspects end-user hardware and software and trains end-users on site.
• Hardware and Software: Installs and tests PC hardware/software for end-users; supports wired and wireless devices.
• Maintains Technical Expertise: Keeps up-to-date on PC technology and software.
• Network Support: Provides general device-level network support and inspections.
• Project Coordination: Tracks issues, manages scope and deadlines, and documents work per policy.
• Team Building: Mentors colleagues, participates in training, and supports cross-functional teams.
• Travel: May require travel to WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites.
• Policy Adherence: Follows WVUHS policies and on-call responsibilities as defined.
• Biomedical Device Support: May liaise with vendors for medical equipment service and maintenance.
• Other duties may be assigned.
