Job summary

SYSTEM West Virginia University Health System is seeking a technical IT professional to install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC hardware and software, and to provide end-user support and training across WVU Health System locations.

Responsibilities include installing and testing hardware/software, assisting users with trouble calls, and maintaining technical knowledge through ongoing training. The role may involve occasional travel to WVU sites to support implementations and services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years of PC hardware/software support experience.
• Certification within four months of training may be required.
• Internal employees must meet competencies for promotion within IT.

Responsibilities

• Provide workstation-related end-user support (PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, IP phones) and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Install and test end-user hardware and software; assist users with requests and trouble tickets.
• Maintain technical expertise through self study and online training.
• Provide general network device support at the device level.
• Participate in project coordination, document issues, track status, and communicate with team.
• Mentor and train other employees; participate in departmental teams and offsite travel as needed.
• May travel to WVUHS facilities to assist with implementations and support.
