Job summary

EnTech Engineering, PC, is hiring an IT Support Specialist based in New York’s Capital Region to support a public‑sector client in Albany and contribute to our managed‑services team. The first phase covers migrating a client agency to a new Microsoft 365 tenant and decommissioning on‑prem servers, with future remote support and on‑site Albany coverage as needed.

You will work evenings/weekends during cutover windows, provide on‑site assistance, manage user lifecycle in Microsoft 365, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years in desktop support or IT operations.
• Resident of NY Capital Region within 30 minutes of Albany 12205.
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration.
• Windows 10/11 troubleshooting; Server/AD familiarity.
• Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends; on-call availability.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs; server room work.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and decommission on-prem server infrastructure for the client.
• Provide on-site support during cutover windows.
• Administer Microsoft 365: licensing, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams.
• Maintain endpoint security and device inventory.
• Handle remote support tickets per targets; on-call availability.
