Job summary

Governors State University is hiring an Information Technology Support Associate II to provide second-line hardware, software, imaging, deployment, and service desk support. The role includes AV support, ticketing, inventory control, and coordination of equipment transfers across campus.

The position is full-time, on-campus with standard daytime hours and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have a HS diploma and IT-related coursework or experience, plus several years in IT/AV

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of IT-related coursework or work experience as measured by the conversion table in the job posting.
• 4–6 years of computer hardware/software or AV support experience.
• 2–3 years of Apple/Mac user support/troubleshooting, deployment, and patch management.
• 4–6 years of Windows user support/troubleshooting, deployment, and patch management.
• Strong working knowledge of AV systems and setups/teardowns.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd level technology support across Windows/Apple environments and service desk operations.
• Conduct computer imaging, deployment, repair, and installation.
• Support Audio/Visual systems and event setups; monitor ticket queues and escalate when needed.
• Handle inventory processing and equipment transfers between departments.
• Assist in supervising and training student workers; participate in various applications duties.
• Other duties including administration of applications as assigned.
