Job summary

South College is seeking an IT Helpdesk Specialist to document and manage incoming requests, provide end-user support, and maintain desktop hardware and software across campuses. The role requires 2+ years of IT experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows, and macOS environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT experience
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Windows and macOS environments
• Knowledge of network security practices and antivirus software
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Document incoming helpdesk requests using internal ticketing system
• Install, repair and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals and related systems
• Provide end user support via remote, in person and telephone
• Support and enforce company information policies and procedures
• Provide support for Microsoft and Apple products including laptops, desktops, MacBook and iPhone
• Assist in maintaining hardware and software inventory for asset management
• Install and support AV equipment for classrooms, conference rooms and auditoriums
• Demonstrate broad knowledge of technology principles, practices, and procedures
• Self-manage to support multiple tasks
• Assist in updating support documents within knowledge management for the IT Services team
