Job summary

Nova Southwestern University is seeking an on-site IT Support Technician to provide accurate and timely technical assistance to students, faculty and staff via phone, chat, email, remotely and at desksides. The role resolves basic technical issues with priority and adheres to service levels.

Responsibilities include hardware installs, repairs, and basic software support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, videoconferencing, and networks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic tools for technical troubleshooting and safety.
• Basic knowledge of computer and AV systems, Active Directory, and network.
• Experience with Windows-based desktops, laptops, peripherals, and networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains hardware for faculty and staff to ensure technology resources function properly.
• Repairs and troubleshoots technology issues at sites and remotely to resolve problems quickly.
• Provides first-line, basic support for hardware and software on desktops, laptops, wireless devices, servers, and videoconferencing.
• Assists with relocation and disposal of technology across campus.
• Creates, logs, updates and resolves technology tickets in the ticketing system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
