Job summary

IGT is seeking a Specialist IT Support I in Austin, TX to provide first-line IT support for end-user devices and services. The role covers workstation lifecycle, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and security compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in IT support, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach, with a background in Windows/Microsoft Office and basic hardware knowledge. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's in IT preferred.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• 0–2 years of IT support or Help Desk experience.
• Experience supporting both on-site and remote users.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and workstation issues.
• Image, configure, deploy, and track employee workstations across the organization.
• Support onboarding and offboarding by coordinating IT equipment and system access.
• Manage IT assets, inventory, and workstation locations, including relocations.
• Ensure security standards and audit compliance (SOX, PCI, SOC2).
• Create and maintain IT documentation and knowledge base.
