Job summary

Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer I to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, or enterprise application software across sites in a defined geographical area.

You will troubleshoot and resolve straightforward problems, support IT infrastructure, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT solutions, including network engineering, systems administration, and local projects. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years professional IT experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
• 2+ years of networking (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
• 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation.
• 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery.
• Fluent in Cisco networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Network engineering and troubleshooting across multiple environments.
• Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
• Provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Manage local technical projects.
• Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
