Job summary

Boise Cascade Company is seeking an IT Software Support Specialist to handle user support, software problem resolution, and testing for the Agility Software package and other Windows-based applications. This role may be based at any BMD location or the Boise, ID HQ office.

You will develop SOPs, train users (remote/on-site), and document processes while supporting multiple distribution centers and regional offices. Travel is 5%–25% annually, with some after-hours work expected.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience in related job function.
• Preferred degree in computer science, computer information systems, business, or related field.
• Typical experience: more than three (3) years in related job function.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support, software problem resolution, and testing for Agility Software and Windows-based apps.
• Develop SOPs, remote feature training, and on-site training for distribution centers and offices.
• Document processes, SOPs, and training materials; follow up on fixes and releases.
• Test new software versions installed 3–4 times per year; may install and train on new business applications.
• Travel to training locations 5%–25% annually; some after-hours work may be required.
