Job summary

Navigant Credit Union in Rhode Island is offering an IT Service Desk Intern role designed to give hands-on exposure to frontline IT support within a financial services environment. You will work with our IT team to learn incident logging, basic troubleshooting, and hardware/software deployments while delivering excellent customer service to staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with PC installations, software testing, security event response, and documentation of recurring issues.

Qualifications

Pursuing CS degree or related field.
Strong interest in technology and customer service.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Familiarity with Windows OS, Office 365, and Imaging is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service as the first line of contact to staff.
Log and track support calls or issues in the internal tracking system.
Learn about workplace interactions and maintaining positive relations.
Prioritize and escalate issues to ensure timely resolution according to SLAs.
Identify trends in support calls and document recurring problems.
Assist with hardware installations, setups, and moves.
Assist with software installation and testing for operational integrity.
Respond to security events and work with the security team on patches and remediations.
