GreatAmerica seeks a Service Desk Intern to join our on-site team in Iowa. You will help with ticket triage, troubleshooting and user support during the summer, with part-time scheduling during school breaks.

The role offers hands-on training and exposure to hardware, software and service-management platforms. The ideal candidate is pursuing an IT-related degree, has no required prior work experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment focused on customer service and process

Qualifications

• Student pursuing their Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field is required.
• No prior work experience is required.
• Entry level understanding of IT fundamentals, concepts, terminology, platforms and processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate user incidents and requests using listening, inquiry and troubleshooting.
• Understand impact and urgency with users; communicate clearly.
• Document tickets per guidelines and escalate when needed.
• Support users via remote tools, phone, email and desk-side help.
• Install, upgrade and repair endpoint equipment and productivity apps.
• Assist with moves, hardware disposal and application support.
