Job summary

Renaissance Financial is seeking an Information Technology Support Technician Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting computer systems, software, hardware, and end users in a professional environment.

Working under the guidance of the IT team, the intern will assist with routine troubleshooting, device preparation, documentation, and technology support while developing foundational IT service delivery, customer service, and networking skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or technical program related to information technology or cybersecurity.
• Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
• Prior customer service, help desk, classroom, lab, or personal technical experience is helpful but not required.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar coursework or certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with questions and issues involving computer systems, software, hardware, mobile devices, and office technology.
• Guide team members through basic troubleshooting by phone, email, and in person, escalating complex issues appropriately.
• Prepare, configure, reimage, deploy, and maintain computers and related equipment using established procedures.
• Support equipment inventory, asset tracking, workstation setup, approved disposal, software installation, and updates.
• Run standard diagnostics, troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues, and document steps, outcomes, and support guidance.
• Communicate timely updates, follow security and change-management practices, and provide assigned administrative and operational support.
