Job summary

Renaissance Financial is seeking an Information Technology Support Technician Intern to gain hands-on experience assisting with computer systems, software, hardware, and end users in a professional setting.

Under the guidance of the IT team, you will help with routine troubleshooting, device preparation, documentation, and technology support while developing foundational skills in IT service delivery, customer service, and networking.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university/technical program related to information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or a similar field.
• Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
• Prior customer service/help desk experience is helpful but not required.
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar coursework/certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with questions and issues involving computer systems, software, hardware, mobile devices, and office technology.
• Guide team members through basic troubleshooting by phone, email, and in person, escalating complex issues appropriately.
• Prepare, configure, reimage, deploy, and maintain computers and related equipment using established procedures.
• Support equipment inventory, asset tracking, workstation setup, approved disposal, software installation, and updates.
• Run standard diagnostics, troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues, and document steps, outcomes, and support guidance.
• Communicate timely updates, follow security and change-management practices, and provide assigned administrative and operational support.
