Job summary

WD-40 Company is seeking an undergraduate-level Service Desk Intern for a 6-month Paid Internship in the U.S. The role supports end-users across the country, troubleshooting, configuring hardware, software, and devices. You will assist with builds and installations and help maintain a knowledge base for IT staff.

The position focuses on customer service, strong communication, and problem-solving, with an emphasis on learning and collaboration within the IT team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active enrollment in undergrad IT program; ~2 years coursework preferred.
• Basic understanding of desktop PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user IT support and resolve information system problems.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware/software on desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Assist with builds, configuration and installs of laptops and desktops.
• Support installation/maintenance of systems and data-communication equipment.
• Create and maintain a knowledge base of resolutions and troubleshooting steps.
