Job summary

Magna International is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist with desktop hardware, software, and network tasks at our Kentucky facility. You will respond to user calls, set up new PCs, perform preventive maintenance, and support vendors as needed.

The role requires hardware experience (networking, Ethernet/LAN, PCs, printers) and strong problem-solving and communication skills. An AS or technical degree is required, with BS preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years applied experience related to essential functions.
• AS degree or technical degree with related experience.
• Preferred: BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer (user) calls concerning PCs, touch screens, printers, etc.
• Sets up new personal computers.
• Performs preventative maintenance on personal computers.
• Distributes new personal computers to users, ensuring software and logins work.
• Contacts vendors for support and issue resolution.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.
• Participates in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software).
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Completes documentation of activities as required.
