Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking an IT support technician to manage hardware, networking, PCs, printers, and related peripherals across on-site facilities in the United States. You will install, configure, maintain systems, assist users, and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.

The role requires an AS or technical degree with relevant experience; B.S. in CS/EE/MIS is preferred. Strong problem solving, math, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years applied experience related to essential functions.
• Must have good problem solving skills.
• Must have good math skills.
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• Must work well with others.
• Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer (user) calls concerning personal computers, touch screens, printers, etc.
• Sets up new personal computers.
• Performs preventative maintenance on personal computers.
• Distributes new personal computers to users, ensuring all appropriate software and logins are functional.
• Contacts vendors for support and resolution of issues.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.
• Participates in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software).
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Participates in department meetings.
• Completes documentation of activities as required.
• Submits cost reduction and innovation ideas.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
