Job summary

The Nebraska Military Department seeks an IT Support and Operations Specialist to join the Distance Learning team at Joint Force Headquarters in Lincoln, NE. The role focuses on hardware and software support, system monitoring, and user assistance for agency staff and customers.

Responsibilities include installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of computers and applications, plus training coordination and documentation. On-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience or equivalent.
• Experience with hardware/software installation and support likely required.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, repair, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to agency staff and customers.
• Coordinate training on new or upgraded hardware and software products.
• Maintain system and network documentation and monitor performance.
