Job summary

The State of Nebraska is seeking an IT Support and Operations Specialist to join the Distance Learning unit at Joint Force Headquarters in Lincoln, NE. The role involves installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining computer hardware and software, diagnosing issues, and providing technical guidance to staff and customers.

You will coordinate training, monitor system performance, maintain user accounts, and assist with change management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience.
• Background/motor vehicle check will be required.
• The Nebraska Military Department does not sponsor or transfer non-immigrant work visas for our positions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, repair, and upgrade computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems and software applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and computer operations issues; support users and coordinate training.
• Provide on-call and after-hours technical support; liaise with staff, network personnel, contractors, vendors, and customers.
