Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Ladera Ranch, CA seeks an IT Operations Manager to lead day-to-day technology infrastructure, systems, and support functions. You’ll own IT reliability, security, and SOX compliance, including ITGC policies and access reviews.

The role requires 5+ years in IT operations with strong networking, server, and cloud knowledge. Manage IT controls, disaster recovery, and coordination with auditors while guiding teams through remediation and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication to explain risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• 5+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of networking, servers, cloud platforms, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT infrastructure operations including networks, servers, and cloud environments.
• Design and monitor IT General Controls (ITGC) and automated business controls.
• Develop and enforce IT policies around security, access, and data protection.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure disaster recovery plans are current and tested; manage SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors for evidence collection.
• Administer users and permissions; manage provisioning/deprovisioning tasks.
