Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Ladera Ranch, CA, is hiring an IT Operations Manager to lead day-to-day IT infrastructure, security, and SOX compliance.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will manage networks, servers, cloud environments, and end-user systems while ensuring risk controls and business continuity. This on-site role requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT.
• 5+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP and security best practices.
• Familiarity with SSAE 18 SOC reports and SoD concepts.
• Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily IT infrastructure operations (networks, servers, cloud, end-user systems).
• Designs and monitors IT General Controls (ITGC) and automated controls.
• Develops IT policies around security, access control, and data protection.
• Monitors performance, troubleshoots issues, conducts root-cause analysis.
• Tracks IT uptime and ticket resolution metrics.
• Ensures SOX compliance and coordinates with auditors.
