Job summary

Blue Mantis is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support multiple customers with extensive server, cloud, and network responsibilities. The role focuses on Windows, Linux, and Unix environments, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, O365), and virtualization via VMware.

Ideal candidates will have strong networking experience, familiarity with SolarWinds and DataDog, and a drive to implement security best practices across on-premise and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• CCNA and CCNP ITIL certifications preferred.
• Experience in a complex multisite environment.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, Unix, and Cisco networking.

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Manage Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Cloud Operations: Administer AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.
• Virtualization: Manage VMware-based environments for performance and availability.
• System Monitoring: Use SolarWinds and DataDog to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Incident Management: Lead network-related incident resolution and escalation as needed.
• Security Best Practices: Implement secure networking for on-premise and cloud.
• Documentation: Create and maintain network topology and troubleshooting procedures.
