Job summary

Blue Mantis is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support a range of enterprise environments in the Los Angeles area. The role involves managing Windows, Linux, Unix systems, cloud workloads (AWS/Azure/O365) and VMware virtualization to ensure uptime and performance.

You will work with security best practices, incident response, and detailed network documentation, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable IT services for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, O365) and VMware virtualization.
• Experience with backup/DR solutions (Rubrik, Zerto) and data protection.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, DataDog).
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments for performance.
• Cloud Operations: Manage AWS/Azure/O365 workloads and containerization.
• Virtualization: Administer VMware-based environments for reliability and scalability.
• System Monitoring: Use SolarWinds/DataDog to ensure network performance.
• Incident Management: Lead incident resolution and SLA adherence.
• Security: Implement robust security practices across on-prem and cloud.
• Documentation: Create and maintain network topology and troubleshooting guides.
