Job summary

Newtown Savings Bank is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to deliver front-line support for desktop resources and end-user issues. The role is based at our Corporate office in Newtown, CT with a remote option of one day per week.

Responsibilities include incident resolution, user communications, and documentation. Candidates should have 1–2 years of hardware experience and an A+ certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience with microcomputer and network hardware.
• Banking/financial environment experience is desirable but not required.
• A+ Certification or equivalent hands-on experience; experience with Windows 11 & Office 365 Pro Plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line IT support to users via phone, email or walk-in.
• Maintain clear communication with users and confirm issue resolutions.
• Resolve incidents remotely when possible and escalate when needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, change control, and ticket documentation.
