Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Help Desk / IT Support Technician in Torrington, CT, to provide a blend of remote and onsite end-user support. You will troubleshoot desktop and Windows issues, manage tickets, assist with password resets, and support Office 365.

Travel to nearby field sites may be required; this is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with competitive hourly pay. The role emphasizes strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in both office

Qualifications

• Experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, Field Technician, or End User Support.
• Proficiency with Windows troubleshooting and Office 365.
• Experience using ticketing systems to manage requests.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable providing both remote and hands-on technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite technical support to end users.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and Windows-related issues.
• Work and resolve incoming support tickets.
• Assist with password resets and user access issues.
• Support Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Occasionally travel to nearby field locations to provide onsite IT support.
