Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Information Technology Generalist 1 to provide on-site IT support for the DHS, OMHSAS, Torrance State Hospital, and surrounding counties. You will troubleshoot, set up devices and networks, and deliver user guidance to staff.

Responsibilities include security compliance, incident tracking, and service monitoring, with a standard 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule. Telework may be available part-time with in-office requirements in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• One year as an IT Trainee or IT Technician or equivalent federal job title.
• Three years IT experience in applications, networking, desktop services or IT support.
• One year IT experience plus an associate's degree in IT.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and resolution for devices, apps, and connectivity issues.
• Install and configure computers, mobile devices, phones, servers and related equipment.
• Address network, cabling, and facility connectivity problems and support systems.
• Deliver training and support to staff on devices, software, and system changes.
• Maintain system security by configuring accounts and antivirus tools.
• Track incidents and suggest improvements to service delivery.
