Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections at the SCI Albion is seeking a Technology Generalist 1 to support information systems and user needs across the site.

The role covers troubleshooting, system administration, equipment management, and liaison tasks; telework is not available. Work hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday with a 30-minute lunch, 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician or equivalent.
• Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other IT support/administration.
• One year of information technology experience plus an associate's degree in IT.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• PA residency requirement and CJIS/background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot automation issues, diagnose equipment problems, research solutions, and coordinate repairs.
• Configure computers, manage user accounts, conduct system audits, and maintain network resources and logs.
• Install, upgrade, track, and prepare technology equipment including computers, software, network components, and cabling.
• Provide staff with user assistance and training on equipment and software.
• Support satellite offices, attend required trainings, and complete admin tasks for the Business Manager.
• Order, track, receive, and inventory technology equipment and supplies.
