Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Information Technology Generalist 1 to provide on-site IT support for the DHS, OMHSAS, and Torrance State Hospital, with coverage for surrounding counties. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, installation, and user guidance in a demanding healthcare IT environment.

You will work full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential part-time telework and mandatory in-office presence at Torrance State Hospital.

Qualifications

• One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
• One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolution for devices, applications, and connectivity issues across assigned program offices
• Install and configure computers, mobile devices, telephones, servers, and related equipment
• Address network, cabling, and facility connectivity problems, and support local and Commonwealth systems
• Deliver training and support to staff on devices, software, and system changes
• Maintain system security by configuring accounts, verifying antivirus tools, and ensuring device management compliance
• Track incidents, identify trends, and suggest improvements to enhance service delivery
