Job summary

IronEdge Group seeks a skilled IT Field Technician to deliver on-site and remote support for desktops, servers, routers, switches, and peripherals. You will install, configure, diagnose, and resolve issues while maintaining LAN/WAN environments and ensuring security updates and antivirus protection.

Travel to client sites and on-call duties may be required. The role emphasizes strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple service requests with SLAs in mind.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware/software problems.
• Excellent customer service and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Ability to provide remote support via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
• Willingness for emergency on-call duty and travel between locations.
• Successful completion of background checks and valid driver’s license with vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, routers, switches, and peripherals.
• Maintain LAN/WAN environments and diagnose connectivity issues.
• Provide end-user technical support and document service actions.
• Manage IT inventory and assist with security updates and antivirus protection.
• Train users on basic IT procedures; coordinate on-site visits with teams and vendors.
